Have you ever wonder if the current 6 NEWS members ever bother about their 2 friends, Uchi Hiroki & Kusano Hironori?

Unlike KANJANI 8, NEWS have no color codes to use them as hints nor can they mention the 2 boys name out loud during the suspension or even during the trainee period (not until recently).
So their so-called link to Uchi & Kusano are usually overlooked by fans, especially if one cannot understand Japanese.

Therefore this site aims for that purpose! A couple of friends have come together and compiled everything that is said/done by the current 6 NEWS members that is related to Uchi or Kusano.
We update as soon as we get the news/reports/sources.
Probably, 95% of the news/reports in that site have been mentioned before, but we are pretty sure that most of you have not come across this one particular article by Yamapi, HERE
Unless you are in one of our flist or you stalk the Japanese fandom sites.


Anyway, just to take note of a few things here. This site is:
1) For those of you who support 8 NEWS all the way.
2) For those of you who support 6 NEWS and you doubt the 6 members relationship with Uchi and Kusano.
(ps: If you noticed, the news on this site are all either from the 6 NEWS boys themselves or from Johnnys’ reliable sources. We do not take magazines’shots empty squares/spaces because NEWS members are not the photographers nor are they the magazine editors. They do not control the layout of the magazine design =.=)
3) Not for us to prove that NEWS will be 8 again. 6 or 8, none of us own them. Can we all just forget about whether NEWS will remain as 6 or return as 8?

A few years back, when Uchi (Hiroki) was hospitalized due to his health problem, I went to Osaka alone to visit him at the hospital.
The minute I arrived at the train station, Nishikido-kun was there to pick me up! As I did not inform anyone, I think he must have heard about my trip from the manager. Even though Nishikido-kun had a stage play on that day, he still took me to the hospital. He is a kind person. However he usually hides it and instead make it seem like he is unkind. I really like that kind of Nishikido-kun.

There were times when you met fortune, but also times when your group member's scandals caused your activities to be stopped. You took group responsibility for it. Wasn't it upsetting to be wrapped into that?
Nope, there were no bad feelings about it. Quite the opposite, I was worried if they'd be OK. That feeling was big. It's mysterious, but I never had angry feelings about it.

What about the other members?
The members were really depressed and unsure what to do but I, without any basis for it, positively believed everything would be all right. We also decided that one by one we all had to just do what we could and do it well.

Weren't you impatient [for NEWS to resume activity]?
I gradually felt that way. When KAT-TUN debuted I honestly thought "Dammit! [chikusho]". But I always endured it believing a chance would definitely come one day.

Did you talk over the comeback of the 2 members who caused a scandal with the jimusho?
No, nothing to that degree. When we were called in by the company and asked what we thought we conveyed to them that there are other people waiting so we would like to do so as well. What makes me happier than anything else is that they [Uchi/Kusano] were able to make a full comeback and now we're doing our best in the same field.

But in 2005 when me, Yamapi, Ryo-chan and Uchi went to Okinawa was really great. I remember talking on the beach with no one there at night, just Uchi and I.

[jweb] Shige mentions about his encounter with Uchi

Shige talked about Uchi in his latest jweb entry when he met during Uchi at NTV studio during Hokaben shooting

Shige was at NTV studio shooting Hokaben.
During lunch, Shige went to eat curry rice.
Once he was full, he walked back to the dressing room.
While walking back, he noticed [OSEN] at the studio and he decided to take a peek.
Yappari~ Uchi is there!

Meeting Uchi for the 2nd time,

Uchi, "O-Gorilla * are you having a break?!! Let's go for a meal!!!!!"
Shige, "WHO IS A GORILLA?!!! You're such a shakure* It is irritating! Plus I just ate!!!!!!"

It's not like we are arguing, this is a form of our(boys) usual greeting.
Despite that, Shige was kidnapped* back to the cafeteria by Uchi.

Their conversation consists of:
- interesting games which they have played recently
- yesterday one of them had a dream of a very cute girl
- other really meaningless topics XDD

After going back to their dressing rooms,
Uchi, "Since your breaktime has not end yet, let's talk some more "
Shige, "Let me go and take my bag first, I'll be right back. Wait for me." and went off.
Uchi, "YOU BETTER COME BACK HERE YO!!!!!"

As usual, Uchi doesn't like to be left alone.
They continue to talk for a while until Shige's break is over.

Uchi, "Jyaa na~ See you again Gorilla!"
Shige, "Hai. You too.. Once in a while, do come over to my dressing room to play yo~ Shakure* "
Uchi,"Im not a 'Shakure'!! I just have a slightly indented chin!!"

Shige ended with something like, "Looking forward to our next meeting!"


Notes:
*Shakure is like Uchi's nickname. Not sure what it is exactly but it might be referring to Uchi's chin. Refer to THIS.
*Shige uses the word "拉致され" here, which means kidnap.
